Have you ever looked at your coaching business and thought:
“Why isn't this working anymore?”
Maybe you were posting consistently and getting inquiries, and now you're hearing crickets.
Or something that used to bring people into your world just isn't getting the same response.
Your first reaction might be to completely change your marketing.
But before you do that, there are a few things I'd look at first.
Figure Out What Actually Changed
Before deciding your strategy doesn't work anymore, look at what's been happening.
Have you been showing up as consistently?
Are you still talking about your offer?
Has your message changed?
Are people engaging but not taking the next step?
Sometimes the strategy isn't the problem. Something within the strategy may simply need adjusting.
Don't Change Everything at Once
This is where I see coaches make marketing harder than it needs to be.
Something stops working, so they change their content, offer, audience, platform, pricing—and everything else—all at the same time.
Then they have no idea what actually made the difference.
Instead, change one thing at a time and pay attention to what happens.
Give yourself enough time to see whether the adjustment is working before moving on to something else.
Look at Where Your Clients Are Coming From
One of the simplest questions you can ask a new client is:
“How did you find me?”
Their answer can tell you a lot.
Maybe people are finding you through your podcast. Maybe they're reading your emails. Maybe someone referred them. Or maybe a piece of content you thought wasn't doing much is actually helping people decide to work with you.
Don't assume. Ask.
Build More Than One Way for People to Find You
I still believe social media can be part of a good organic marketing strategy.
But I don't think your entire business should depend on whether one platform decides to show your content that day.
Your email list, podcast, blog, collaborations, speaking, and other visibility opportunities can give people more ways to discover you and stay connected.
You don't need to do all of them.
Choose the ones that make sense for your business.
Your Strategy Is Allowed to Change
Sometimes a strategy really has run its course.
That's okay.
Marketing isn't about finding one strategy that works forever. It's about paying attention to what's working, making adjustments when you need to, and continuing to show up.
So if your marketing has stopped bringing you clients, don't immediately assume you need a completely new strategy.
Take a look at what's happening first.
You may not need to start over.
You may just need to make a few changes
